    new update

     



    hey guys we found out what as wrong with our valves,, they was wore out lol the rocker was hitting the top of the valve tip and everytime i adjusted them it would leave and come back that was the trouble and the springs was 40 lb,, we needed 90 so we have them redid totaly new valves and new springs and new rockers and a 4 angle valve job we are puting it back together now i will let you know how it does
    man i am glad

    well we are all together now got the heads on and sounds great and we did a rejet on the carb we went from a 66 to a 71 and maybe it runs better we wil now more tommorrow night but for now it runs great idel in park 800 and in drive 600 the only thing now is the running hot so we will see

    if its running a little hot, theres two things i'd look at, the size radiator in your mustang... the factory v-8 radiator really wont handle a performance engine too well, they just barely worked on the factory motors.... but i'd try messing with ignition timing first... also adding a shroud if you dont have one will help a bit... also if you're running the factory 4 blade mustang fan, scrap that immeadiately and get something a little more geared towards cooling the engine not just spinning around

    we are running a stock 5 blabe and a stock shroud( ant much as you know ) and its a stock 3 core rad the timming seemd good we will know more when he gets out ib town ,,, we sit there yeaserday with the cap off nd let it rub and it never got above 180' i thought that was the best way to tell,, i was told that anyway so i will keep you guys up

    if that 3 core can handle the motor running at idle and not overheat then it sounds like it should do pretty good, but the real test is to drive it around a few miles and then idle it, see what happens then
    just because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day
