Edelbrock carb
A friend has a 600 performer series carb. Below the elec. choke is a small 3/16" hole. There seems to be a vacuum leak coming from this hole. Edelbrock says it is there so the choke coil will not overheat. When he temporarily plugged the hole the engine did smooth out. Anybody ever experience this problem?

I seem to remember that the same problem existed on Carter's which is what an Edelbrock is except the vacumn choke covered the hole. I'd plug it and be done with it.Ken Thomas
