Engine pros Need your Input
If 1 cylinder has a 30PSI reading and all the others have a 150psi.
Question
The cylinder with the 30-psi still have enough compression to fire and keep the engine balanced, at this point the engine is running as rough as if a spark plug wire was disconnected. Any suggestions
Please note this is a GM 3.1 V6

30 psi is not enough to "run" a cylinder

Just wondering if "ENGINE RESTORE OIL" can fix the bad cylinder I do know it is the piston rings and not the valves or warp head or block etc etc.

engine restore will not be able to save that low of a compression if its a ring problem... its still gotta have running compression to really be effective.... theres not going to be enough heat to fuse the compound the grooves in the cylinder wall.... if you want to pinpoint your problem... bring your bad cylinder to TDC and hook up compressed air to the spark plug hole, then check intake for air noise(bad intake valve) exhaust pipe for air noise(bad exhaust valve) radiator for bubbles(blown head gasket, or cylinder wall is broken into water jacket) and check crank case for air noise(bad rings or cylinder wall scoring or hole in piston)just because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day
