think iv come to a conclusion though.... going to go with set up 42 from ryans web site there but gonna add a carb spacer, bigger cam and use the rp air gap.... any other sugestions?

Try shoving some compression and some rpm's in there and see what happens.

It is o.k..but I.M.O. the heads are to big.
I would look at heads that have a port volume of 180 cc.

well if 12:5-1 compression and 7500 or more rpm's doesnt count i dunno what does. btw the old 301 that was before this one was drag raced every single weekend and street driven for about 8 or 9 years and it was very consistent, it finally spun a bearing because it still had the front sump nova v8 oil pan on it! the walls were perfectly fine for another rebuild. so what do i know ................ woo hooo 1400,dredth post!
