wondering how they measure connecting rod weight. if big end is 504 grams and small end is 256 grams then should total rod weight be 760 grams?

thanks for the help.. the rods i have are an aftermarket set and i was weighing my old rods and piston to compare and see how much weight i was losing... the total rod weight didnt add up ti what the rod spec sheet said big end and small end weighed. i could figure out why it wasnt right but i went to the manufacturers website and they list that rod weight as 830 grams so i guess i was worried for nothing.. it's a 6.9" 4340 H beam rod so it's gonna be a bit heavy
big end 504 grams
small end 256 grams
total rod weight 832 gramsBob Gibbs
