    Carb questions - using a Q-jet

What is the best way to plug unused port which DO NOT have a nipple sticking out (see pics with arrows below)? I was thinking of JBweld, or maybe tapping NPT, and then plugging. Someone here I figured would have the right answer.

Does anyone have a link so that I can identify (with the numbers shown in the pic below) the year, make, etc that this came off of? Want to know if there is anything "special" or unique I need to consider when putting this carb on my small block chevy.
