If it is a recent build, what compression, what cam specs, was cam installed straight up,what timing, what fuel octane you got? There are guys on here that can give you some help but these things will need to know.
If not a recent build then southerner may have the ticket.Last edited by FAYLUR; 02-09-2007 at 05:08 AM.

Lower the idle speed, or use an idle solenoid that is energized when the engine is running, and off when the ignition is turned off. If the throttle blades aren't going completely shut when you are at idle, it can cause the engine to diesel. There is also the old trick of enlarging the air bleed holes in the throttle plates, this will increase the air flow at idle, and allow the idle screw to be adjusted so that the throttle blades are completely closed.....Last edited by Dave Severson; 02-09-2007 at 05:45 AM.

If the cam duration is over 300 degrees @.050 .....you need to spin the motor first and then turn on the ignition,.
....running backward will kill that thing in short order!!!!!
Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)
Visited a family member at Dockery Ford from the time I was 1 year old through their ownership and then ownership change to Morristown Ford. Dockery was a major player in the Hi Performance...
