    Yep. Either the cross ram or tunnel ram are marginal on the street. Sure, we all run them sometimes for the evil appeal, but no question a single four on an aluminum dual plane is infinitely more streetable. But, that is the practical side of me talking.

    If you are looking for different and some old time appeal, crossrams do have that going for them. I think performancewise they were not that popular, and somewhat shortlived.

    Tunnel rams are generally suited to high rpm use, and although some people run them on the street and claim to have no problems, usually they are more dragstrip oriented.

    With all that, I still like multiple carbs because I think they scream hot rod, and am willing to put up with the issues like faster fouling plugs, less gas milage, etc. It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish with your own application.
