How in the world could my electric choke not being hooked up cause this?

well i noticed it is smokin but oil and gas only shoots out when i really get on it.. God this sux i cannot figure this out..

Now ive come to realize it really doesnt do it after it get warmed up after i give it hell on the street.

Well guys i talked to my dad.. and he told me to pul the engine out and hes gonna go through and rebuild the whole thing..So heres the great news.. he has a 400hp crate 350 sittin in his garage never ran and he told me i could have it as a bday and christmas gift and as long as i help him rebuild the 283 so he can have it.. But guys i just wanna thank you all for helping me this site is truley a great place. Thank you guys.
