    f-150 5.4L blowin plug

well my 02 F-150 just blew plug number 2 out, it already did number 3 and i paid a guy to fix it last time..... this time i'd prefer to do it myself if its not ridiculously difficult.... anyone know how its done?

i swear ford should have to fix this for free but they beat it out in court and its not considered a defect

KD builds the insert kit and instructions to go with. Along with Bluepoint and OTC and others. 14 mm thread and depth requirements like 19mm and such. Tap and stuff is included. Be cautious about shavings getting into the engine. Most instructions tell you the cautionary stuff you need to heed to.
What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?

Did not know this,,,,,, so I have an 05 with 20K miles, is there a way to prevent this...............like removing the plugs now and puting a thread lube on it or what? Why does it blow out, worn threads from galding when removing plugs or what?

the 05 doesn't have this problem its 99-03 that has the problem, ford didn't thread the plug holes deep enough in the heads apparently and so when you get to about 70k the problems begin....there was a class action lawsuit filed against ford on this and the courts ruled in fords favor so they didn't have to have a recall and replace everyones heads......

well i got in a big dispute with the local service rep here at ford, and he ended up making a deal with me $1000 bucks is gonna get me a brand new crate 5.4L with the 2v heads still but they're the ones that have the spark plug problem fixed..... the engine also comes with a lifetime warranty.... so now when i put a few hundred thousand miles on my motor, they'll get to rebuild it for me for free
