No Spark!!!
I have a '71 Chevy C10 with a 383 that I just freshened up. I ditched the HEI and went with a MSD Pro-Billet Dist. (mechanical advance, magnetic pickup), MSD 6A box, and MSD coil. I am not getting any spark right now. I have verified the wiring more than once and did the test that they say in the trouble shooting section. Does anyone have any ideas?

I probably wont be too much help because I am basically electrically ignorant, but all my electrical troubles usually stem from a bad ground. Make sure everyhing is grounded really well. Make sure theres no paint under a foot or contact that needs grounded.

maybe a ballast resistor, if your HEI was working fine though then that shouldn't be a problem.... crack in the dist cap maybe? that'll scatter your spark sometimes to the point of no spark also is it an in cap coil or out of cap? if its in cap make sure your bushing and contact between the coil and rotor are properly installed.... also you can send the coil to dist wire to ground, should see some nice spark of the coil is getting spark if not, then its time to check the triggerjust because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day
Merry Christmas ya'll
