I could never figure out a way without dropping the pan. BTW, the only thing I ever found that really sealed one was some aircraft grade red RTV that I got a hold of when I worked at Douglas Aircraft.Ken Thomas

oil pan gasket
The newer 1 piece gaskets from Fel-Pro seem to do a better job of sealing,also change from bolts to studs and put a flat washer between the pan and stud nut that should help flatten the pan out,try to torque to 15 foot lbs in a criss cross order.Good Luck!

Thanks Denny. Picked up a can and it seems to have stopped the leak. Will pull the engine this winter and change the pan.Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!
Great to see your new post, Mike, and great to see CHR up and running again after several days of the Hmmm, can't reach this page.... Also good that you found an easy solution to your storage/access...
