HELP low oil preassure
I got really low oil preassure on my 200 I6 Ford. when the motor was rebuilt, clearences checked perfect. new Melling oil pump, all galley plugs in place ( used manual to check locations ). 3 psi at idle, 5 psi at 2k, goes to 10 if it's revved. have 2 gauges saying the same. 1 is an in car mech, the other is a fuel press gauge I borrowed from my fuel press regulator. I thought the turbo was causing the havoc, plugged off turbo feed but NOPE still low. could air in the in car gauge need bled/ causing false readings? it sounds like it's got good oil preassure, nothings ratteling, or making noise, and it runs fine . it's got 3.5 qts of 10-30w oil, 1 qt of 20-50w and 1 can of STP oil treatment ( for the zddp ). I just don't wanna turn it into a brick. You don't know what you've got til it's gone
