HELP low oil preassure
I got really low oil preassure on my 200 I6 Ford. when the motor was rebuilt, clearences checked perfect. new Melling oil pump, all galley plugs in place ( used manual to check locations ). 3 psi at idle, 5 psi at 2k, goes to 10 if it's revved. have 2 gauges saying the same. 1 is an in car mech, the other is a fuel press gauge I borrowed from my fuel press regulator. I thought the turbo was causing the havoc, plugged off turbo feed but NOPE still low. could air in the in car gauge need bled/ causing false readings? it sounds like it's got good oil preassure, nothings ratteling, or making noise, and it runs fine . it's got 3.5 qts of 10-30w oil, 1 qt of 20-50w and 1 can of STP oil treatment ( for the zddp ). I just don't wanna turn it into a brick. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

Oh, I forgot, yes there is a larger 1 behind the timing cover. also replaced. but, I
changed my rockers to Yella Terra full rollers, that use SBF oil thru lifters and pushrods. I now remember somthing about having to plug the factory rocker supply hole. looks like I gotta pull the Valve cover. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

no, I don't have a factory rocker shaft now, I have Full rollers that get oil from the lifters ( kit uses SBF lifters ). the factory oil galley that used to provide oil to the rocker assembly is still open, and leaking cause I forgot to plug it, there is a restrictor plug in the end of the rocker shafts to keep up oil flow. if you look at denny's diagram, oil flows thru the stock rocker shaft, getting oil from the rear galley coming up, the galley comes right beside a bolt hole. You don't know what you've got til it's gone
