I agree completely. Knowing what I do now from here I would gladly employ Pat to build my engine to spec. It will exceed 430 hp with better parts I believe. Then buy some zz430 valve covers for your 430+ hp engine at less than ebay prices!

to my knowladge ZZ430's are only worth a lot if you can prove they are truely a ZZ430.. valve covers are numbered as to the engine they are. they can go for quite a price if there genuine as they were a limited production engine. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

Yea the motor is numbered, but the price is ridiculous for what they are.I`d
rather have a hemi or Pats at that priceConfusious say: He who dies with the most toys, Wins

Take a FastBurn 385, swap in the factory "Hot Cam" and roller lifters, and you have a ZZ430 clone.
The value in those motors isn't in the horsepower, it's in the fact that there was a limited run, and they're all gone.Jack

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
