    Im lookin at a ZZ430 on e-bay, anyone know what their worth?

    Gilbert Chevy (formerly sallee) has a zz450 for $8,250.

    I agree completely. Knowing what I do now from here I would gladly employ Pat to build my engine to spec. It will exceed 430 hp with better parts I believe. Then buy some zz430 valve covers for your 430+ hp engine at less than ebay prices!

    yup that it is. but i only buy when it get a ..great deal.. and did alot of my work and built it i could not sell it for that but did buy all parts for the price of the zz430 i just do not see gm crate engines as a hot deal they maybe for some but not me as a engine machinist a engine builder they are just not for me

    Yes I know you seem very knowledgeable in this area. Yes that crate engine IMO is very over priced. To paint the block Chevy orange they are asking 85 dollars seems high to me...

    to my knowladge ZZ430's are only worth a lot if you can prove they are truely a ZZ430.. valve covers are numbered as to the engine they are. they can go for quite a price if there genuine as they were a limited production engine.

    Yea the motor is numbered, but the price is ridiculous for what they are.I`d
    rather have a hemi or Pats at that price

    Take a FastBurn 385, swap in the factory "Hot Cam" and roller lifters, and you have a ZZ430 clone.

    The value in those motors isn't in the horsepower, it's in the fact that there was a limited run, and they're all gone.
