Racing Style Fuel Filter
I was wondering if the fine folks here on this site had a preference over: JEGS brand, Aeromotive, Barry Grant, Fram, Mallory, Summit brand, Spectre Pro-Plumbing, Perma-Cool Fuel, AEM, or System 1 brands for a in-line canister racing style fuel filter!

My advice is to stick with a NAME BRAND manufactured product so you have a chance of buying replacement parts if you need them in the future. Jeg's and Summit are just "Branded" generic products of questionable source, you generally get what you pay for has been my experience.
As a side note, I have found it very helpful to have a fuel shut off valve at the tank so you can remove the fuel filter to make sure it's clean. However, when I looked at what was available from Earl's and other's they all were very resistricted in inside size compared to the -AN hose size I wanted to use. I found good quality natural gas ball valves at the plumbing supply for about $7 to $8.00. The valve size is not restricted when it's in the open position. We have run "all kinds" of race gas and never had a fuel leak using these valves for years.

First thing to determine is the flow rate and line size you'll need and the line size you'll be running... This will eliminate all the ones that are too small, either on flow rate or fitting size. As John said, don't foget the shutoff valve between the filter and the tank.... Been using the ball valves that he mentions for years, also with no problem. I use an inline filter instead of the canister types because of the fitting sizes available.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
