    Lincoln V12 Engine

    Hi,
    i can get a Lincoln V12 Engine.
No further Informations about Year or Condition inside.
But is so far complete incl. Carb and Generator.

I think about a Projekt Pickup Studebaker or so to put it in.

What you think about the engine, how many problems i will have to get parts to rebuild?

    thanx

I don't think you'll have any problems, they make custom rods and pistons all the time.
Alot of stuff can be fabricated if needed, just becareful when your taking it apart not to break anything.
I'm sure the parts can be very expensive . If I were you I'd check out Jay Leno's garage,
he's always building the odd stuff. You could probably E - Mail some of the guys on his site with questions. Who knows maybe they will offer a tidy some to buy it. HE! HE! HE! Kurt

As is typical of Ford flatheads of that era, the enemy is corrosion and whatever thermal cycles it's been subjected to. Cracks are very common, particularly cylinder bore to valve seat, and valve seat to valve seat. After disassembly have the block checked by a very knowledgable machinist who's had flathead experience, sonic and mag check are mandatory! Don't spend a dime, or euro I guess, on parts before you know the block is sound. Lots of parts from V8 60s interchange so in Europe there may be a source from Simca folks.
