Not a good idea to use them noisy old nasty gear drives in place of a timing chain and gears. They transfer way too much harmonics into the engine and will kill parts...

A 650 would be a good carb for a 360. Vacuum secondaries are a bit more economical to run on the street and when dialed in correctly they work great.

As for the cam, go with a mild cam that is matched to the rest of the engine. Buying a cam to get "the sound" you want will usually hurt performance more then help.....
