350 heads on a 327
I have a set of ported/polished 350 heads that I'd like to use on my 327. Anything I should be aware of? The 327 has a mild cam.
Thanks

I have a stock set of 350 heads on a 327 with a 268 mild cam and it does real
well....I don't know if the ported part will interfere with the everyday running or
not..I have a 650 edlebrock with performer intake..Runs like a sewing machine.

They will physically fit, but how well they will actually work depends a lot on the pistons you're running, size of the combustion chamber, and any number of other things.... Got the casting number off the heads????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

when I had my 327, I had gm performance heads. 64 cc .2-2 intake .190 exhaust. with flat tops if I remember right that put me at around 9:1 and with a "fireball" cam, I loved that motor... too bad I never checked the guides, one was in too tight from the rebuilding shop...an expensive lesson. before that, it roared

My 327 is a vintage '68 block with 0.030" bored out with KB hypereutic flat top pistons with the vortec heads. I run the Comp Cams 280/480 cam. Has a great lope and runs very well. The sbc is so versitile that just about any combo will work well.
Great to see your new post, Mike, and great to see CHR up and running again after several days of the Hmmm, can't reach this page.... Also good that you found an easy solution to your storage/access...
