1969 mercury marquis
Does anyone have any ideas i have a 1969 mercury marquis 429 engine,i have replaced coil,distributor,altenater,voltage regulator,wires,plugs,fuelpump,the car runs great for 15 minutes then backfires and wont start again till its cold any ideas

Did you put new points & condenser in it???
Could be a bad condenser...joe

dose it backfire when you are running down the road or while idling???how about the fuel filter???2 or 4 barrel carb???
Ever since putting 2.02 camel humps on my 350, as I am cruising there is a slight surging in the engine. If I put my foot in it to give it load it is smooth as can be. Have done many different timing...
