    1958 international A-120 Harvester...

I'm going to post a video of my brothers Int'l Pickup truck. There seems to be a Squeeling noise coming from the back of the motor, the clip describes some of the steps we've taken to fiugure out where the noise is coming from...In addition to these descriptions, we have used carb spray to check for leaks and tried many different combos of carbs and air cleaners. Oh and it is not the throwout bearing.....

My thoughts are that there is a gasket overhang that is causing a "reed" affect....

Could it be coming from around your butter fly shaft? You may be able to use a piece of PVC pipe to find it by listening on one end while moving around the engine with the other.

Sorry Zero Presence I did not read all your post. Forget the butter fly. The PVC pipe may help.

ok, after talking to him about the butterfly valve... Im not sure if we're talking about the same thing... we assumed you meant the one on the exhaust manifold. He had removed it a while back and plugged the hole that the shaft previously occupied. He also said that after plugging it, that it didn't make the noise... the noise came later...
