Thanks for the link. As I get older and the summers get hotter, I keep thinking about EFI and AC for my 52.

Rick,
The "Fast Systems" claim to be cheaper, but I am not sure they are after you end up buying all the parts.
The 3500 series Edelbrock systems on Ebay are not supported by Edelbrock any longer. So if you end up buying one of those and have a systems programing issue, your on our own.I haven't been Edelbrock's forum in awhile, but that was posted there.Edelbrock's Pro series that is a SFI is just the best.Complete easy to use.But very expensive.
I have a friend in Calli,Darren, that yrs ago bought one of the early Edelbrock systems on a deal from Ebay while they still supported those and paid only $750 for his.He has it on a SBC 355 Astro.Tow threw the mountains his sand trailer he soft peddling it gets 20 to 22 mpg.Without the trailer it is a real terror very fast 350 hp dyno tested van.But then of course the mileage goes away.Beyond Darren I have seen others get outstanding cake and eat it too results.Fast and economics for gas mileage. The SFI's along with controlled timing, better fuel management, engine management,I can see them doing that well.I honestly am not a "go green" kind of guy on this stuff. All I am saying here is you can make the choice to pay for the system in increments while your not getting the gas mileage every time you have to full up or pay it forward and get the performance and the gas mileage by buy one.
I am saying again, that the corner stone membership here is about hot rods and carbs. For those folks,I admit this isn't for you.Yet given the fact we are contently having the gas pricing shoved up our butt,we as a whole might be forced into these systems to continue to cruise and to have this book marked because of that couldn't hurt so you have it if needed.Good Bye

I like to fiddle with my Rochester carb, but the cars that have their EFI dialed in sure seem to be more at ease with the random canyon run or swing out to Bonneville and the salt flats than I am.
