    Great old plane, but a bit thirsty. Leaned out in cruise could manage about 40 gph. Would like to have a Lancair Evolution homebuilt, 270 KTAS @ 22 gph, 240 KTAS @ 17.5 gph. Being aerodynamically clean sure makes a big difference. 50% faster for 1/2 the fuel burn.

    I marshaled in some of those old prop planes while at Burlington Air Express.Man they where louder than jets.One I remember was a plane converted to small package freighter that was just drop dead really nice resto.It shined in the sun like a brand new plane.

    Hey Bob,you had to have the neighbors talking when you had that parked in the driveway.Hehe-you use the car for a push back??.

    That home is the now full owners, in the old neighborhood. Some other neighborhood pictures, Cameron Air Park Estates, where everyone has a plane or two parked at the home.

    Last plane I flew had 199ft11inch wingspan and they won't let anything be over the property easement line so I had to leave it behind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
