rspears, read most of your post last night, it followed me home. I enjoyed it, full of info. The part about the hood and grill started out sounding like a nightmare but turned out for the best. The angle of the grill looks great, I'll do mine the same way. Al

    Al,
There's a bunch of good build threads on here to go through. Another N&N '33/34 is Parkwood's orange beauty, which turned out pure killer. I really like his metal splash aprons/inner fender panels and the way they mount to the side of the frame, but using metal would make laying the grill back a whole different process.

Welcome to Club Hot Rod!We’re a fun bunch and you right where you need to be for advice and opinions for all thing hot rod related!

I’ve done several 3x2 setups and I would echo all of the above. One of the tricky parts is the choke. As mentioned; the center carb is the correct one to choke. I would add that in some warm climates and especially if you keep your rod indoors, the choke may not even be necessary. No choke mechanism, in my opinion, makes a cleaner look.

Progressive linkage is a great thing and after cobbling several myself with various bell-cranks and threaded rods, I would strongly recommend the kits available from Edelbrock or Holley.

One other recommendation – don’t know exactly what you’re wanting in the final look, but be cautious if buying used – especially if they’re 97’s as they can be very dear to rebuild/repair. There are a lot of parts for them and some great reproduction stuff, but one needs to be aware of their idiosyncrasies and be very patient in the tuning of these little jewels.

Another consideration is clearance as some setups will not work with HEI so if you’re thinking GM power make sure you check things out before buying. That said, I have used this setup with a Malory Uni-lite distributor and it works real slick and I like to looks for a vintage rod.

Glennsexton, thanks for the info. I like that setup. From what little I've found out I don't guess there is a 3x2 that works with HEI or at least I haven't found one yet....AL

I found a good used motor a friend of mine put in a truck and the truck burnt. Has less than 10,000 on it and it's cheap but it's a 350 vortex motor. Do they make a 3 deuce setup that will work on it ?? Thanks guys I'm going to need a lot of help lol.....AL
