are idle air tubes neede on end carb?

Rebuilding a rear carb for a 66 Pontiac and the venturi cluster is missing the 2 outer idle tubes. Since it is a end cab, are they needed? Any thoughts?

    Welcome to CHR!

Normally only the center carb has the idle circuit active, with the front & back carbs providing secondary/WOT input. If it's OEM I'd look at the front carb for comparison.
