    Carburetor Line placement on 350 sbc

     



    Hey here you can see in the thumbnails I have a very roughly put together 350/th350 in my 1980 chevy caprice. I point to the line port underneath the left front side of the holley carburetor, and point to a line on the left side of the block that connects to an aluminum hard line that travels past the distributor, onward down the bottom of the block and continues right over the transmission. My question is, is this line the pcv or the transmission fumes cleaner thing?? LOL which line goes in where. Additionally any tips are appreciated. CHEVY LIFE IMG_0042.jpgIMG_0044.jpgIMG_0043.jpg

    i see you have a double pumper carb with the rear pump arm missing .. is that on purpose ?
    iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

    no it wasnt on purpose i bought the car like this but im thinking about selling it it needs too much work, whats the rear pump arm for?

    Bet it backfires pretty good if you bang all 4 barrels open!

    yes it does but the headers are bad so its understandable, why wouldit backfire so much?

    The missing pump arm (I think) goes to a second acceleration pump, it squirts a small stream of gas into the plenum when you stomp it; preventing the air fuel mix from going lean.
    .
    Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

    I believe it has one i may be incorrect. does it go on the rear passenger side of the carburetor?

    You have impeccable photo editing skills, im only 19 but i dont even know how to do that xD. Its so nice having a Vets opinion. another question, i have a 50cc arm on the front, should i buy a 30cc for the back or a 50cc? Im assuming 50 is for the front 30 is for the rear?
