Welcome to CHR! Looks like it's a 64-67 327 block. Here's what came from Googling "sbc block casting 3858180" - Block Casting Numbers - 3858180 to 3932442
Heads were used on both 283's and 327's, 60cc chambers referred to as PowerPack's - Quick Ref: Small Block Chevy Cylinder Head Casting Numbers - EngineLabsLast edited by rspears; 07-23-2017 at 06:19 AM.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

WOW, South Africa! It's good to see you here, welcome to the site.
I also see Mr. Spears has already answered your question. Got any pics of the ride the motor is in?

Welcome from another Southern hemisphere Country, New Zealand, good to see you and yes, thanks for posting the link to the photo's of your beast. Certainly stood out in the crowd with the super bright yellow paint. Please tell us what your plans are for her, lowing or is your local roading to the best for lower vehicles ?I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Amazing colour scheme you have settled on and I absolutely love the idea of the airbagged ride too although you may not be going that way but that truck certainly lit my fire with it sitting down on the ground like that. You certainly ain't dragging the chain with progress on yours, thanks for the update.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Seems like that sbc might be one with the larger mains so a 350 or aftermarket crank will fit

That's a beautiful blue. We got some guys from South Africa by me right now. They come here every year to help with harvest. I talked quite awhile to one of the guys about South Africa and life in general. Welcome to CHR.Seth
