Hello, looking for help. I have a small block 350. I'm trying to figure out specs.
V0411TY is my motor number. I keep throwing starters. I'm trying to figure out exactly what I have. Can anyone help?

I'll shim it, I'll change how I shim it. I'll work for a couple days, then start grinding.

Something is moving.

Welcome to CHR!
This is what you have:
V = Flint
04 = April
11 = 11th day of month
TY = 1978, 305CI, LG3 engine. This particular one was a 145 horsepower 2 barrel used in the Pontiac Grand Prix.
This a real basic 305. Are you using starter motor bolts? If not, go buy these:
Dorman Starter Mounting Bolts 45640. They’re 7 bucks at Schuck’s, O’Reily,s, or AutoZone.
Again, Welcome.
