Oh parts for the 1UZ are not hard to find at all. The SC400/LS400 actually sold pretty well in the USA, I just don't think they sold well on the east coast. Parts counter will have everything needed. The JDM suppliers supply lower mile engines/ transmissions but are otherwise identical to the USA counterparts, minus the Toyota badging instead of Lexus since the brand was not around in Japan then. The cars over there were simply Toyota's over there..

The G35 coupe was the Infinity version of the Nissan 350Z and the R35/V35 Nissan Skyline. I've driven a 350Z and I agree, it handles great. The platform is actuallly DE TUNED from the R34 platform which was exclusive to Japan/ Skyline marque that came before it.. If you want to see a factory monster, that has the nickname Godzillia, look up R34 GTR on Youtube.. Japan's 'Muscle car era' happened about 1989-2002ish.. Before I finally decided on building the Hotrod again, I was actually looking into importing a Skyline R32 GTS-T which has a 2.0L twin cam turbocharged straight 6 and is RWD and importable into the USA. But it costs $3k in shipping, exporter and duties plus a car would be $4k on the low end for something that would need reconditioning. My money will go farther elsewhere
