Well after trying to follow this I am worried about the choice of the torque cam for mileage and low rpm torque:

    184/194 @0.050", 260/270 adv, 0.368/0.398 lift, 104/104 lca
    l
At this point I would feel safer and not have to pull the engine or radiator later for a cam change with the stock Corvette 300 HP cam:

    195/202 @ 0.050", 0.390/0.410 ($56)

but the builder of my crate engine requires I buy a Melling cam, so
which of these two cams is better for low speed torque and/or mileage (2.79:1 rear!)?

    Melling 22109
    194/204@0.050", 270/278 adv, 0.398/0.420 lift, 104/104 lca

    OR

    Melling 22111
    194/204@0.050", 270/278 adv, 0.398/0.422 lift, 107/117 lca

The main difference between these two cams is the lca and I guess the 104 lca would have the best low speed torque, but isn't 104 lca pretty tight? I have looked at the page Tech1 recommends and I get the impression that 104 lca is VERY tight?
    Comments?

    Don,
Call Zevakis Eng. there in Richmond, and see if Joe Hall is still there....he can help you. You may have to look him up in the phone book. Tell him Jimmy that married Donna Williams told you to call, when he stops laughing, tell him what your trying to do.
Also, Paul Scott @ Scotts Automotive (yellow 35 5 window coupe).
    Jim
