1966 Ranchero Engine Swap Help!!!!
I have a friend who has a 1966 ranchero he has tubbed it out and now wants to swap the straight 6 with a chevy 350. He tried to fit it last night and has found it may be alot of trouble. We were wondering if anyone out there has done this that can give us some info on what we will need to do or know someone we can talk to about what we need to do to make it fit...thanks...david

ranchero engine swap
problem is the oil pan is hitting the sterring linkage and crossmember
i am going to have to have a custom oil pan made so that the sump is in the front or move the stering linkages from in back of the crossmember to the front and trim the cross member or cut the fire wall and move it back about 5 inches this will efect my brake and gas pedel location alot . i prefer the fist solution so if any one knows where to get a costom oil pan and pick up please let me koow
