A full float pin has the ends ground to a specific length and flat, a pressed pin does not. One disadvantage of a full float pin is one more area to wobble when things get lose from wear.. One of the reasons most big bore production engines are pressed, better stability in the bore. Less noise. For a go to work truck I'd go with pressed pins. Check Ebay for pressed pin rods. I've bought several sets of new Eagle rods 5.7 press pin for $110.00 and less.
