Thanks Brian. I don't even have a truck yet but I think I might go along with your advice... I won't tub it out right now. Still wan't a big block though, heh. Not tubbing it out will save me a lot of money and time. My dad said he really want's me to either get a truck and take a while to build the car the way I wan't to just get the car done and not tub it out. I think I will save the money with tubbing it out and just put a nice big block in it and get the frame supported up, front end done and find a rear end and use leaf springs for now. I am going to get my bushing and ball joint kit and springs and shocks in the front first then get it all done and set my ride height, etc and paint the frame and get that all done with. I think I can at least get the engine and frame all done with 2000 bucks, what do you guy's think? Well then another 1000 or so for the tires, etc I guess...www.streamlineautocare.com

Thanks John, your right about that. I have tons of people saying to do this and that, etc. But I can't complain because I am asking them for their oppinions, but yeah I am going to do what I wan't. I keep throwing idea's around to see of a way to save money but I know what I really wan't to do to it and I think I am going to do that even if it takes an extra 4000 bucks or so. I wan't to really get the chassis done in about 4 months and then get an engine and tranny at the same time. If I did that in that amount of time then that would make everything MUCH easier.www.streamlineautocare.com

Just a suggestion, but this approach is likely to get you in a big-time bind unless you're going to mount the same engine, trans and rear-end in the same locations as they are now. How can you build up your chassis without having at least a dummy engine, trans and rear-end? A car is a system, not a bunch of parts. It would be a shame to have a nice shiny frame sitting there - then have to cut and paste in order to get the rest of the stuff installed.Jack
