firing order/plug wires etc. old vette
hey folks,
i have just put a fresh 283 vette motor in my 59 chris craft. the machine shop said it was at tdc and the distributor is installed. can anybody help me get the wires in the right place and get it timed properly.

number 1 plug wire position
Jim,
I didn't see it posted, but the #1 plug wire on most Chevy V8s is the one immediately to the left of the point adjustment window; although some people also use the one just to the right of that one. I don't think that most Chevy V8 distributor caps are marked as to the #1 position, but if yours is, then ignore me please.
