350 cyl head questions
hi i have a question about heads for the 350 my stock heads are 76cc block code is 3970014 my heads are coded 333882 just wondering if these are the stock heads the type of 350 i have only produced 8:2 compression ratio but figuring out bore and stroke and the cc's im figuring out now thats its around 10:5 could anybody shed some light on this for me i have a chance to buy a set of heads that are 67cc just wondering if its a better set up then what i have thanks!!!

The 882's are your basic run-of-the-mill 76cc head. Nothing special but they can make decent power numbers. The 67cc heads you speak of will get you above 9-1 but not 10. Still a good power improver and if they're hi-po heads there's some power to be had there also.
Just a thought, the GM Vortec heads are proven power makers to 5500-6000 rpms. The ~$600 pr. price tag, excellent runner and combustion chamber shape and 58cc volume (which will get you around 10-1) would wake that motor up much better than a set of old 60's design heads.http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/647081

thanks! last question anyone know anything about the lm-1 350 produces 160 rhp ca. only motor. Its currently in a 69 nova no emissions mild cam, torker 2 intake, msd, 650 holley,2.5 exuast threw glass packs and a kn filter i was just wondering based on that info what type of power the motor would make im trying to hit 300hp even if that means stroker kit but would like to avoid any ideas how to get there???? thanks!

If you get yourself a pair of vortec heads you will also need a vortec intake manifold. It has a different bolt pattern... 8 bolts not 12.
