305 + Edelbrock = ??? hp
Hi !
First sorry for my english.
I have 1981 chevy caprice with mechanicaly unmodified 305 (about 145hp in papers). engine has remowed EGR and any others electronics and antipollution systems.now I buy Edelbrock items on ebay. Could You help me with approximate engine parameters hp and torque after customization?
I have got to install:
1405 carburetor: 600cfm, standard jets, manual choke
2101 performer manifold
2102 performer camshaft witch lifters kit
and non edelbrock headers 1 1/2"
It is necesary camshaft timing or instal it with standard position in this aplication?
heads are original

the Performer cam & intake isnt going to add 150 HP....youll be in the 200-225 HP range that package isnt intended to make huge increases in HP...it is a nice boost in low to mid range power gains, so youll feel more low speed torque & extended RPM giving you some more horsepower75 GMC C-15 factory 454, automatic, lowered

Edelbrocks website has charts on the power curve, etc for that performer series set up. Check it out and make your calculations from there.
By the way, dotgone, welcome back, where have you been? I still remember you from a post you made a year or so back thanking all the members on here that helped you with your project and you had that really nice car!www.streamlineautocare.com
If you wan't something done right, then you have to do it yourself!
Thank you Roger. .
