Adjusting a Carter Carb?
My Pontiac 400 has a 4bbl Carter carb on it...and I am sure it needs adjusting. It is hard to start once it it hot and sometimes stalls at idle and then it really hard to start There are 2 big adjustment screws on the front of the carb...is that all the adjustments on it...if so how should they be adjusted?
Thanks

I could be wrong, but the adjustments should be the same as the Edelbrock adjustments. Seems like I've heard this more than one time from different sources. Try this link and see if it might help you out.

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
