Carter AFB vs AVS
i have a carter AFB competiton series carb that looks pretty much like a edelbrock that i rebuilt. and i have a carter AVS carb #4966S that i'm gonna rebuild for the hell of it..i was wondering how are they, good??bad?? the have a different secondary setup that i havent seen before... i'm running the AFB on my 1956 pontiac and it works not to bad. and i wanted to do this avs carb and try it and see how it works..is it any good or worth doing or am i better off with the AFB comp???

My 440 GTX had an AVS, it was the smoothest powermaker I ever ran. But then it was factory equipment, and jetted right from the start. They're good carbs, but never gained the popularity of the older AFB.
it's nice to have space, I just keep moving stuff to only move it again and again and again!
