loosen the screws that holds the blades in place and tap on each one until you get then even, tighten screws. they should move around. i know im no dave or tech but this should help.Last edited by lt1s10; 10-02-2005 at 06:29 AM.

Be sure to back your idle speed screw off so the plates will close completely when you're setting them, and tighten the plate screws with the throttle completely closed. This assures proper alignment.

Bent throttle shaft? Some fast gouges and no throttle stop or a little outa whack and twistomatic.or just months and months of gettin floored and its got a little twist to it ?Did u use the same butterfly shaft or does that come new in a base plate? Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

recheck your timming on the engine then back off the timming about 4 degrees and see if that helps. too much will do that to the idle and\or there may be something broke or stuck in the dist

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
