Ok i have a Ford F-350 with the 460 in it, for a carb it has the Holley 4180. Anyways, this thing floods all the time, i've adjusted the choke checked the power valve thing and nothing works. The truck runs great but after about a hafl hour it justs dies idling or driving. Looking into the carb the bottom butterflies are soaked and it starts up after about 30-45 minutes of sitting. It's a 4 barrel too, not sure what is going on with it but any help or advice would be great. Think cheap here....priced a new carb for it and it's alittle steep for me now. I think it is an easy fix....just gotta figure out why it's flooding it out.
it will run 30 min. cut off and will crank back up in 30 min, then run another 30 min. only a few things to make it flood, float to high, hole in float, trash in needle and seat, power valve, pump pressure to high. Need to know what the fuel pressure is first. sounds like it might be playing out of fuel.
