cold startup
Having a problem with the statup of 71 Nova 350 with an Edelbrock carb with electric choke. When I start the car on cold mornings it starts just fine. Afetr a few minutes the idle slows down and finally it stalls. To start the car it must be floored to start it. Difficult start. The carb must be flooding. What should I check for? once it is warm it is fine.

apology
Mike , Sorry I didn"t mean to hurt your feelings. Anyone who would be willing to drive from Virginia to Pa. to fix ones choke is OK in my book. Next time I have a problem I'll just call you and I know you'll come running. I'll keep you on my top ten favorite list.

Denny I've also got to thank you for the picture. Talk about knocking myself out trying to get my electric choke to work. Did and redid everything possible to get it to work. My choke plate worked fine, but stupid me didn't run a voltage test and sure enough my battery is only putting out 9 volts( and I knew I needed a new battery). Thanks again and Thank you deluga for the post.Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
