Cant start-up car
OK here is the problem. I started up the car for 3 minutes and was going to fix the idle cause it idles too low. When i wsa about to do that the car just shutoff completly and all the power to the car is gone. No headlights no power at all. I am really frustrated cause i want to work on the car but getting it to start isnt happening. Can anyone help me or had the same issue. Its a 63 Chevy Nova.

Check you battery cables. One might have come loose.Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

I don't remember if that car has fusible links or not, but if so you fried one if everything else is tight. Other possibilites are shorted starter, solenoid, and alternator.Ken Thomas

Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
