    Most DCR you can run with 91-93

     



    I have heard mixed numbers about the highest DCR you can have with no detonation on 91-93 octang. SO, what is the boarder line?? I will have aluminum heads FYI. Thanks,

    probably somewhere around 10.0:1 static, I don't know about dynamic.

    8.3, 8.4 is pushing it. Most try to keep it 7.8 or 8.0 just to be safe.

    No more than 8.5 with aluminum heads. My DCR is 8.46 on my 383, but that is pushing it. It runs fine on 92 octane.
