Ya know the thing about those 500HP build claims, is that if you pick up any muscled-up car mag, they always have the big headlines "500 HP small block on Pump GAS ON a Budget." MMMM.... might be Bill Gates budget. Not Mine. BUT... then average Joe thinks, ya Everybody can get 500 outa one of these puppies, and I can save some money by using this chaper part and that cheaper part, and oh ya I dont need rollers, stamped should work. Before ya know it ya got another 11 second story. Just my 2 cents."oohh...thats gonna leave a mark!"

Dave you ever see the old artical of the 427 vette with a Ford FE 427 transplanted into it?? It's kinda neat. I'll see if I can find it...
I have a line on a nice 68 BB Cougar I'm hoping will pan out. The old Mustangs are just to much for what you get....and for what I can spend. I've only had one old 69 Cat so we'll see how this one pans out.
The 84 Vette would make a nice home for a Windsor!!! I like it!!

Well I have a friend Patteli who wins a lot in baja. When the magazines and interviews ask what you have in your engine he gives them some B.S. As he says I never tell those guys the truth or everyone would be running like I do. I didn't spend countless time and money researching only to tell someone else.Build what I tell the reporters and I'll see you at the next race.
Good racers tell fibs.

better racers dont have to tell fibs... no one can catch themjust because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day
Thanks guys! One more trip around the sun completed. Lots of blessings and things to be thankful for (like still being able to type this message!!) Here's to us "over 70 guys.." Glenn
