What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?

Without knowing gear ratios, how much the truck is weighing. Still stock or lightened up, etc. What's your compression? So, still missing some vital info, I'm gonna tell you to run the comp cam. That particular grind has a nice pulling rpm starting lower in the band. Especially if you advance it 4 degrees.

Your lack of low end probably comes from A) Having a cam that doesn't start until 2500 RPM, and B) You're most likely running a stock converter, which will stall no where near 2500. You'd be better off to run that Comp cam. I'd bet that it will make a difference.

Along with changing the cam can I suggest tri-y headers,or 4-2-1 collectors, and then a balance pipe between your duals. They work well to give some bottom end torque, which you really need to get that heavy of a vehicle rolling. Hank

the compression should be around 9.6-1........the vehicle weighs around 3800lbs.....i do not know the gear ratio although im going 2800rpms at 65mph.......the stall is suppose to be 2500rpm (i did not do the stall no im am not 100% sure)
