    1950 Chev Frame Swap

I am building a 1950 Chevrolet Fleetline. I heard that an 83 Caprice frame is a good swap. Any information would be appreciated.

BUT thats for a truck.... lots of folks do one ofthe following w/a car.. they either rebuild & update the stock stuff, which some say is just great & other say its not... mustang2 the front suspension, you can get them in either a weld on or bolt on cross member, but then there are pro & cons about this too. and last but not least is sub-framing, where you cut the front part of you car or truck frame out & put a donor one under it by welding it in.. all three have thier good & bad points which are too many to list..... but any way here's a few sites to keep for different frame & suspension widths & lenghts...............joe

Isn't the wheel base the same?

The fleetline & 1/2 ton truck have the same wheel base ? correct?

    "correct me if I'm wrong."

"I was looking at a '51 Fleetline about a month ago, talking about a trade, and I could have swore.......... that it was the same?"

"not trying to argue, just looking for confirmation "
