    327 tuning dilema

I have a '67 327 that is giving me fits.It has stock "guts" ,Edlbck performer intake and carb,MSD HEI and wires. When it idles I get an intermittent pop out of the exhaust and when I let off from cruising it pops also. When I start it up and try to go slowly and turn the wheel hard it dies ( such as leaving a parking lot ). Also when i'm at a stand-still and mash it, it acts like it wants to die and bogs down for a moment.

It smells like it's running rich but plugs are good, timing was good last time I checked it.I tried to adjust the idle mixture but it either makes it want to quit when running them in or no difference at all when going out. HELP ME PLEASE !

I will check the plugs. The vac is 19" and had relatively no change while adjusting until it got to the point where it wanted to die (lean).

Should the dist adv vac hose come off of the carb or directly from the manifold?

The vac. advance should come from manifold vacuum. If you connect it to the carb, just make sure it is on a port below the throttle blades.
