    Playing with the big boys...

    Whats up all?

What do you guys look for when you tune engines? I have experience in tuning small engines and small stuff like that but what about the big boys? I know the parts of the big carbs i.e. acclerator pump, main and idle circuts, ummm, air bleed valves, holley power valves, fuel bowles and all thats in them, lol thats all i can think of now . i assume its pratice and the good ol eyes and ears and nose right?

    Enlighten me please,
    -CJP

you need to become a expert at reading spark plugs. http://www.dragstuff.com/techarticle...ead-plugs.html if you get good at this you can tune anything from a turboed 6sec car to a 13sec street car.

For the Holley, get one of the Holley tune up and adjustment books. It explains everything very well, how it works and how to make it work better.
