cleaned plugs. shot of oil to each cylinder. disconnect fuel turned over few times. Checked all wiring connections to temp sensors and grounds. reconnect fuel. turn key. Backfire through throttle body and minor fire while fuel burns off. Retry and nothing but the starter spinning and the temp gauge peaking.
Could it be that the cpu thinks that I am overheating and is shutting me down? If so then why do I still get fuel and spark?

With the tbi injectors disconnected, it should still fire and run until the fuel burns off in the intake. Try that to start with. Hold the throttle just off idle, as in giving it just a little help.
I am 6 btdc. I am still getting the excess fuel lighting off now at the exhaust collector. Still no signs of life, just the whine of the starter. Any thoughts on the temp gauge.
