    that was my point against points.....reliability has always been problematic and that is why alternative ignition systems were developed. again i recommend dropping the points/condensor and get yourself an electronic system that is reliable.

    I have a Mallory in my 66 Mustang which I converted to Petronix including their coil and have had no problems, I did rebuild the distributor first. Also installed Petronix in the stock distributor in my 360 73 F-100. Great system for the price.
